Corporate Membership
YDMT are particularly grateful for the help that we are given by a number of corporate supporters. Companies of any size are able to become corporate members with a minimum commitment of three years.
Donate to the Dales offers a number of different ways for businesses to be involved:-
Participating Tourist providers
Host a Donate to the Dales badge box
- This box gives tourists the opportunity to donate a £1 to conservation projects. In return they receive a badge, and an entry into a Weekend for two in the Dales competition.
Operate an opt in scheme
- This is operated by the business and gives the customer the opportunity to donate an extra amount per transaction that will come into the scheme.
- Businesses who raise more than £1000 pa in this way can choose which project they would like to fund.
Operate an opt out scheme
- This is operated by the business and charges the customers an extra amount per transaction, unless they choose not to.
- Businesses who raise more than £1000 pa in this way can choose which project they would like to fund.
Fundraise as a business with either staff or customers
- This can be done in a variety of ways, through employee fundraising, Payroll giving, a Cause Related Marketing product, or offering Gifts in Kind. Again where £1000 or more is raised you can choose which project you would like to fund.
Membership
The Donate to the Dales Membership scheme offers businesses:
- an enhanced corporate image and brand – many visitors to the Dales are wanting to know that the places where they visit and stay have a caring ethic towards the natural environment.
- membership certificate to display
- A focus for team building and staff motivation
There are three levels of membership – each with a three year commitment.
Associate Members – from £50 per year – ( For B&B up to 5 rooms, caravan parks up to 5 pitches, Self catering agencies up to 5 properties, Visitor attractions up to 5,000 visits per year, Restaurants/Pubs/Cafes with up to 3 employees. Maximum charge £120)
Members – from £500 per year
Corporate Members – from £2500 per year
