The People’s Postcode Lottery Bring Big Brass to Barnsley

This Sunday saw eleven lucky neighbours scoop their share of £250,000 at the People's Postcode Lottery ‘Postcode Jumbo’ event in Barnsley.
Most of the pals, from the S75 1 postcode sector, took home cheques worth nearly £15,000 each from the charity lottery's biggest prize pot while a stunned Polly Johnson (39) won the ‘Street Prize’ of a life-changing £80,000!
Polly said she was thrilled to win the cash. “I only subscribed last month and couldn’t be happier that I chose to take two tickets! I would have been over the moon with a thousand pounds – this is totally unbelievable!”
As well as bringing joy to players People’s Postcode Lottery support charities in the area, including YDMT. So far those deserving charities have received a huge £2 million in unrestricted funding. Another substantial contribution of £16,000 from the People’s Postcode Lottery has now taken the total amount raised for the Trust to over £53,000.
Members of the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust who went along on Sunday were really pleased for the winners and immensely grateful for the continued support received from the People’s Postcode Lottery.
