Applegarth Scar

Description: Applegarth Scar is a wooded area which has been made stock-proof to allow it to naturally regenerate. Two new fences with six gates have been erected to exclude stock. To supplement the natural regeneration, approximately 800 trees and shrubs have beeen planted and protected.

Access: A PROW runs along the southern edge of the scar and it is highly visible from the surrounding dale and fells.
