Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust

On Saturday 11th September 2010 Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust will be holding a sponsored walk to raise money to support projects which are vital to the well-being of the Yorkshire Dales.

We’d love it if you could join us.

Starting in beautiful Buckden in Wharfedale you can choose between two great walks, depending on how far you want to go. It’s an opportunity to soak up the stunning scenery, meet people and enjoy a great day out with friends and family. You'll also have the chance to talk to YDMT staff who will be on hand to point out some of the projects that you'll be helping to support, vital projects that conserve, protect and enhance the unique landscape, environment and communities of the Yorkshire Dales.

At Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust we’re looking for some imaginative new pictures to help promote our tree planting programme. We’d like talented young artists to help by sending us their pictures, photos or drawings of trees to help make a new ‘tree’ themed greeting card. 

 
Why not get your children drawing for the Dales this summer? If you are the parent or guardian of a budding young artist aged between 4 and 11 send us their tree pictures and the winning designs will be made into a professionally printed greeting card.

To enter please send your child’s card design – a drawing, photo or painting - to YDMT, Old Post Office, Main Street, Clapham LA2 8DP. Don’t forget to let us know your full contact details and how old your child is. Categories for entrants are 4-7 and 8-11.   

We have now extended the closing date of this competition to 1st October 2010!

The small print!
1. This competition is open to parents or guardians of children aged 4 to 11 years. All children entering the competition must be enrolled by a parent or guardian.
2. The winners will be chosen by an independent judge and the winner will be notified within 10 working days of the closing date.
3. Artwork from winning entries will be used to produce a Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust greeting card, which will be available to the public through their ‘Tree Dedication’ Scheme.
4. Winners will receive copies of their card once it is printed. 
5. The competition closing date is 01/10/2010.
6. Responsibility will not be accepted for entries or acceptances that are lost, delayed or damaged in the post or elsewhere.
